Natalie Donahue McMahon
South Florida Actress and Voice Over Artist
My artistic journey began at age eight in South Florida theater programs, from Bak Middle School of the Arts to Dreyfoos School of the Arts. After intensive training at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC, I returned to South Florida to work with companies like Palm Beach Dramaworks and GableStage. An MFA represents the next evolution in my artistic journey: a chance to challenge myself with rigorous training, collaborate with exceptional artists, and develop the depth and range to tackle the most demanding classical and contemporary roles.
48th Annual Carbonell Awards
Outstanding Production, Play
Appropriate at GableStage, where I played River, was honored with the 2024-2025 Carbonell Award for Outstanding Production of a Play, South Florida's most prestigious theater recognition.

About
My journey with theater began at age eight, named after Natalie Wood, I discovered my calling in the performing arts. Training at Bak Middle School of the Arts and Dreyfoos School of the Arts in South Florida provided a strong foundation, leading me to pursue intensive training at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City from 2013 to 2016, where I became a Company Alumna.
During my time in New York, I worked with exceptional directors and honed my craft through rigorous training in acting technique, movement, voice, and on-camera work. After graduating, I continued to perform in Off-Broadway productions and developmental readings before returning to South Florida to build my professional career.
Returning to South Florida has allowed me to work with distinguished companies like Palm Beach Dramaworks, where I originated the role of Alison in Eric Coble's Live To Tell, performing in middle schools to raise awareness about human trafficking. Most recently, I made my GableStage debut as River in the Miami premiere of Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' Appropriate, which won the 48th Annual Carbonell Award for Outstanding Production, Play. Critics praised my performance for bringing "serene demeanor" and moral clarity to the explosive family drama. An MFA represents the next evolution in my artistic journey: a chance to challenge myself with rigorous training, collaborate with exceptional artists, and develop the depth and range to tackle the most demanding classical and contemporary roles.

Fresh off the 48th Annual Carbonell Award-winning production of Appropriate at GableStage, where I had the privilege of bringing River to life in Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' powerful family drama. The production was honored with the Outstanding Production, Play award, South Florida's highest theater recognition. Currently working as a Teaching Artist at Maltz Jupiter Theatre, I'm passionate about nurturing the next generation of performers while continuing to grow as an artist myself.
Between teaching, voice over sessions from my home studio, and auditions, I'm always seeking opportunities to collaborate with adventurous directors and companies committed to work that challenges, provokes, and connects with audiences in meaningful ways.
